Make the green button set a window to full screen size
Gawd. This should be called "Wrong Zoom" since it enables the brain dead Windows "maximize" behavior.
Make the green button set a window to full screen size
I can't imagine why any Mac user would ever want the Windows behavior on a Mac.One reason - to reduce visual clutter. Occasionally I'd like to have everything else just "go away" so I can focus on the single task at hand. Command-Option-H (Hide Others) is a possibility, but I seldom remember it. Option-GreenButton would be a good idea, IMO. The current behavior of the green button violates the Principle of Least Surprise (again IMO).

I suggest trying Think from Freeverse

Deskshade is also brilliant for this…it simply covers over your entire desktop with your desktop picture (you can toggle this behaviour with your own key command). When you need to see files on the desktop just engage exposé to reveal everything *under* the picture. Brilliant.
