Go back to the old way?
Authored by: pete on Mar 13, '09 01:19:03PM

I tried this, slightly misunderstanding what it did. So I tossed it - that was apparently all one had to do to stop this behaviour. But all Finder windows continue to zoom to full screen. Why can't the zoom button work like eons ago. I used to love the way original system function was to zoom to show new content. If you added a file to a closed folder, when you opened it, it re-sized to show all content. I want that back.

What is the secret Terminal command to make folders zoom open a bit bigger, instead of full screen. I now hate that with a passion.

There's a change that actually the non-zoom state has been set to be larger than the zoom state. If true, then: click the zoom button to get your full screen, and then simply resize that to the format you'd like for non-zoomed windows.
