Well, your script does not take care of other languages than english. It can be enhanced by using indexes of menu items or sending a Command-Option-I keystroke.

Very old people like me will remember that the Finder Inspector was the default for 'apple+i' in OS X public beta and possibly 10.1 but I think in 10.2 due to public outcry Apple re-instated the old OS 9 'get info' functionality back into OS X as the default. Hiding the Finder Inspector in the process.
