Open Finder Inspector panel at login

if you select two (or more) items and press command-i, you will get two (or more) separate Get Info windows.
One for each item.

But, if you select two (or more) items and press command-option-i, you will get a single "Inspector" window.
This inspector window will provide the total size of all files selected.
You can even leave the window open, and it will recalculate on the fly as you select and deselect additional items.

Control-Command-I will show a single information window, regardless of how many items you have selected.
Also note that if you select more than 10 items, Command-I will always open a single information window as well (perhaps there is an OS which makes the exception here).
