Use AppleScript to ease Greek, super/subscripts in Word

Another technique that I have used is to use a keyboard layout editor (I used ukelele) to make a custom keyboard layout with the greek characters on it. I assigned option-a to be α, option-b to be β and so on. I then can quickly add greek characters in any application. The keyboard layout file can be found on my iDisk public folder. It is named science.keylaout. Just drop it into your /Library/Keyboard Layouts/ folder. Log out and log back in and then go into the international preference pane and select the new keyboard layout.
