Install Remote Desktop Connection 2 via drag-and-drop

Um, an installer package is an OSX way of installing software. There is nothing wrong with that.

The Office2008 stuff is probably MS's global autoupdate and helpviewer software (much like Adobe does), just poorly named. The Help and Check for updates menu items won't work without these.

Note: the .pax.gz will expand to your Downloads folder, which by default on Tiger is the Desktop, but is ~/Downloads on Leopard.

Note 2: you could also double-click that Remote Desktop Connection.pkg to run the installer, a little simpler. And receipts are nice.
