10.5: Change the Dock's treatment of Stacks

*sigh* None of these (this hint or the suggestions in the comments) bring back all the original dock behavior. I tried them all. 10.5's new dock behavior breaks my folder action scripts. I need clicking on a docked folder to open the folder and I need control-click to list the contents of the folder in a pop-up menu. Will anything do both of these?

If you're on Snow Leopard you can disable all this horribleness by doing the following.

Hold down CTRL+OPTION+CMD and click+hold on the stack icon in the dock you want to modify.

You'll get a popup menu that allows you to set some options.

1. Choose to view the icon as a folder rather than an aggregate of the icons it contains.

2. Choose "view as list" from the "show contents as" area.

Now, you still have "stacks', but they behave the way the did when the worked more like classic Finder items.
