Such a wretched default... This hint is just yet another reason why browser-style windows should be completely separate entities from spatial windows.

I agree they should be separate entities, but keep your pecker up! It's not like Apple is forcing browser views down your throat!

Well, at least under Leopard, if you open a folder in a borderless "spatial" Finder window, that folder opens in a new spatial window of its own even if the "Always open folders in a new window" box is not checked in the Finder's preferences.

This make it at least somewhat easier to switch from a browser-like Finder to a quasi-spatial finder (and to switch between the two).
