One way to disable the iPhone's typing auto-correct
Authored by: dreyfuss on Sep 08, '08 11:59:33AM
Your proposed solution is not faster, as it would take invoking the bubble magnifier every time one wanted to avoid auto-correction. In fact, aside from the initial setup for josesensei's hint, the solution you suggest is much slower and more cumbersome.
I think you don't get that hint. You type a letter, say an "a", then you put your cursor in front of that "a", and you type your whole text with that trailing "a". You will never have an auto-corrected entry. It's fabulous and quick and non-intrusive, because if you choose to want to have the auto-correct feature, you just don't type the letter. Great.
