Use many email addresses on one iPhone email account

This hint works great. It does NOT work with smtp.me.com as your SMTP outgoing mail server. The only way to get comma-separated email addresses is by entering them on your Mac/PC and syncing them to your iPhone, since you can't type commas in the email field on the iPhone (as many here have lamented). Even if you get Mail.app to let you enter multiple comma-separated email addresses on one line, they will NOT be synced to an iPhone email account with MobileMe as the outgoing SMTP server. They disappear. You must be using another SMTP server which allows you to send multiple email addresses through it (relaying), or your SMTP server will refuse to send them. Note that this is NOT related to POP versus IMAP, because those are both INBOUND protocols.

This hint saved my butt. I use one work and one personal email address. Neither is my .mac address, but I use mail.me.com as my inbound IMAP server. All replicated on two Macs and an iPhone.

How exactly did you get it to work? I'm Still having trouble. It is set up properly in mail and told to sync over (using 2.0.2) and still cant see selection. Using Google app's 4 your domain with there SMTP server (which works fine in mail with different "froms")

Anyone care to maybe make a better step-by-step for this?
