iPhone remembers volume for headphones and speakers

I'm pretty sure this only has to do with specific types of headphones. For example, if I plug in a stereo cable, any other standard stereo cable does the same thing. However, if use the iphone standard headphones, or perhaps another type of headphones that also have a microphone, it sees that as a different cable and uses a different volume. It doesn't remember for absolutely every cable you have, but it's still very useful, especially when I have to turn it up in my car but turn it down when I use headphones.

It also differentiates between the built in speaker volume and when somethings' plugged in, so there's a third memory setting for when you unplug everything and something needs to play thru your speaker.

There might be a different setting when you plug into a stereo system via the usb port.

Finally, in my experience, in 1.0 this existed but it was buggy and forgot the settings when I plugged in headphones, so I often got surprised and blasted. In 2.0 however this has been exceptionally reliable.
