iPhone remembers volume for headphones and speakers

Actually, I don't think it's "remembering" the volume level at all... it's simply cutting the volume level to 50% when you plug in headphones (if the volume level was previously above 50%). It does this on the Mac as well. It's really quite a nice touch from Apple -- they want to prevent you from blowing your ears out whenever you plug in headphones. Go ahead and try it on your Mac... it works the same way there as well. Thank you, Apple! This has been around at least since 10.4, and maybe even before then.

Actually, the Mac remembers the set volumes also. If I'm in a quiet coffee shop, I'll mute my speakers before plugging in my headphones, to avoid any embarrassingly loud music blaring if I accidentally become unplugged.
