Well, to be honest, it was more App Store angst, given I had to delete all 30 third-party apps on my hacked 1.1.3 iPhone to try it out :)

Don't give in to this <rude person>.

Go to the Mac section of apple.com. Pick a model of computer. Click the "Buy Now" button, and what does it do? It certainly doesn't make an automatic purchase. Apple has used the "Buy Now" button on their site for years without literally meaning to purchase immediately.

If the store is ignoring the shopping cart option and making purchases immediate, it is broken and Apple should fix it, plain and simple. Until they do, this tip is a good "heads up".

By implying that the mistake is the customer's and not Apple's, the poster with the rude handle is just being a fanboy.

Robg and I were having actually a pretty amiable conversation, that, for some reason, you decided to take offense against. Go figure.
