And the reason this is an issue is because you're blaming Apple for the fact that you didn't read the button before you clicked it.

This is, I promise, a 100% honest answer: I saw that the button said Buy. But I also knew my prefs were set to use the cart. My bad was assuming the prefs overrode the button. Clearly that's not the case; the button overrides the prefs.
