10.5: Annotate non-PDF (raster) images in Preview

Anyone know how to put a text box inside a PDF in Preview (i.e., not a "note," which puts a text box or comment outside the page and a little speech-bubble placeholder inside the document itself)? This was something you could do in Tiger Preview that I used all the time.

Note: I'm aware that you CAN actually do this for a jpg, just not for a PDF. For a jpg, the "note" function in the annotate tool actually creates a text box on the image itself and not in the margin.

I've been using Formulate Pro for some time now to "write" on PDFs. It's a simple app that works pretty well, and even at this stage of development I've not had it crash on me. http://code.google.com/p/formulatepro
