Listen to Bloomberg Radio in ... VLC instead !
Authored by: shdw on Jul 07, '08 12:29:57PM

Bloomberg's link works right away in VLC

Just add the link mms://

and you could save the Playlist for later use or include the link in an already existing playlist.

Personally I don't see any advantage of playing any radio station in Windows Media Player as it's quite unstable and won't always play consistently. I'd recommend comparing with VLC, which is still being developed and open source, compared to WMP which is really old, not open source, not that much user-friendly, ugly and unlikely to be further developed by MS.

I agree with using VLC instead... however when I try it doesn't work.

I'm trying to open the URL in your comment-

But I get this error-

main: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `wmas'.
VLC probably does not support this sound or video format.

Any suggestions on how to get it to work? Thanks!
