One way to help remember keyboard shortcuts

I use KeyCue as well, and it's quite handy and unobtrusive.

But no matter what tricks you try to use for remembering shortcuts the only real way to internalize them is to FORCE yourself to use them.

If you go to the main menus of the OS or any application, and see that the process you want to invoke has a shortcut, DO NOT simply glide down the menu and select it. Look at the shortcut, say it out loud to yourself, dismiss the menu and use the shortcut instead.

Do this enough times until they become as familiar as the shortcuts for Open/Save/Copy/Paste/Undo.

This self-disciplined method has helped me learn literally hundreds of shortcuts across the OS and quite a few applications.
