iCloud e-mail tagging
You can add tags to iCloud e-mail addresses, to be able to sort messages with Mail rules, for example. To do this, use an address with your name, a plus sign (+), then a tag. For example: myname+tag@icloud.com. This also works with mac.com and me.com addresses.

With these tags, you can set up rules in Mail or another e-mail client to sort or redirect messages as desired.

This hint is a useful reminder that such tagging is possible, but hasn't this method long been possible on many email accounts? It's a result of relatively standard email address processing, in that any text that follows a symbol such as "+" will just be ignored by all the email server routing software and only interpreted at the destination domain, usually as a tag (according to Wikipedia, at least).

This isn't available on all email providers but it's something that Gmail has also supported for a while.
