The email a link command in Safari seems to have disappeared, but it's actually just hidden behind a keyboard shortcut. Command-Shift-I opens a new email with a link to the current page in Safari.

Too bad the link appears AFTER your signature. At the office, my signature is quite long with a privacy policy and such.. Link unfortunately gets burried.

I don't know about 10.8 (as I do not have it installed yet) but earlier versions of MAIL if you goto Preferences > Signatures - there is an option Checkbox at the bottom of that dialog to "Place signature above quoted text".

Another way to do it: Use the iOS-style Share button on the toolbar. This will open a new email in Mail.app. In the new mail, you will see "Send Web Content As:" with the option to send it as Web Page, PDF, or Link Only.

You can also use the share button on the Safari toolbar and select "Email this page." The new mail window will have a dropdown entitled "Send Web Content As:" where you cen select "Link Only" (or PDF, which is cool). It seems to remember your setting in this dropdown, so the next to you email a webpage "Link Only" will still be selected.

Put this javascript in your bookmarks bar as a bookmark. Clicking on it opens your mail client with the websites URL pasted in the body of the email.

I like the method of using the icon, then choosing "link only" in the resulting message. Apparently Mail remembers that preference, which is a good thing. If I had to keep changing that every time it would be annoying. Still, I have to ask, was this change to the UI really necessary? Is it really an improvement? This kind of rearranging the deck chairs is not progress IMO.
