iOS 5: Connect to MS Exchange task lists iOS devices
More a feature observation than a hint, but the Reminder app that comes with iOS 5 will bring in tasks from a MS Exchange server.

I already had my MS Exchange email setup in the Mail app prior to upgrading to iOS 5 and when I went into the Reminder app, I saw all of my tasks from Exchange there. This is something that was really missing for those of us that have to use Exchange and is a welcome addition.

[crarko adds: Are a lot of you using iOS with Exchange out there and has it been a pretty smooth ride for you? My experience has caused me to feel nothing but sympathy for those still using Blackberry with a BES.]

I've used iOS with Exchange for over a year (and am now using multiple Exchange accounts on my phone) and have never run into any problems beyond repeated password dialogs when my passwords start being rejected (but I get that for wifi as well, so I think it's an iOS level thing).

[Full disclaimer--I work for Microsoft and one of the Exchange accounts is my corporate email. I don't work for the Exchange group. I've used iOS with Exchange ever since my university started migrating to Live@edu about a year and a half ago, and have always found it to work well.]

I've been using MS Exchange on my iPhone for syncing with my Google email, contacts and calendars, pretty much since the service has been available. In general, it's worked very well but occasionally I'll get a delay in the delivery of the emails, though I suspect that's more an issue with Google than with Exchange support on my device. In fact, all the minor drawbacks I've discovered, I suspect merely have to do with the service rather than iOS's support of the service.

One thing to note is that when you have your Exchange tasks enabled on the iPhone, you should be aware that any reminder that is assigned to the Exchange account will not have Location-Aware reminders available. At least in my experience connecting to my company's old Exchange 2003 server via OWA. I was having a hard time figuring out why my Reminders never seemed to let me set the location aware alerts until I noticed that they were assigned to the Exchange account. Your mileage may vary.
