Quickly confirming or rejecting Faces in iPhoto Apps
When confirming wether faces recognized by iPhoto '11 are actually correct, some will be wrong and need to be rejected.

iPhoto gives the hint to 'Click to confirm or Option-click to reject,' yet the easier and faster way to reject would be to simply double click the image, after which it will be marked as 'Not (name).'

[crarko adds: I tested this, and it works as described. Yet another undocumented feature of iPhoto.]

It is documented, when you mouseover a photo, the name underneath changes to "click to reject" or "click to confirm". Single clicking confirms, and the second click simply rejects. Doesn't need to be double click per se, it can be two clicks with any amount of time in between, as you're effectively toggling it between confirmed and rejected.

A far easier way to reject photos is simply to hold down the option key, and drag to select multiple photos. Then you can just hold option and click the ones that aren't selected but aren't correct.

But which feature is "undocumented" ? I've been double clicking since the Faces feature came out, and this is the first I've known of the option-click ability.

Concerning the first sentence of this article--"When confirming wether faces recognized by iPhoto '11 are actually correct, some will be wrong and need to be rejected." I think the word that you wanted was--whether. The word wether means castrated ram.

I just select outside the photo and drag my pointer across the screen. It selects everything in its way.... now that is faster

Does anyone know how to turn iPhoto Faces off? It gets in my way and adds so many more copies of photos to my library.

It doesn't make copies of photos to do face recognition, unless there's a bug I'm not aware of.
