Get Account Info in Mail Apps
In Mail.app, press Command+I on the Inbox icon (or right-click on it and choose 'Get Account Info') and sample the awesomeness. Actually, this works with any of the main mailbox icons. Just select an account from the popup menu.

It gives space usage for each folder and quota limits for the account, plus other settings from the 'Account Info' preference, and works for Gmail and Exchange too. I just stumbled onto it and found it worth sharing.

[crarko adds: I tested this, and it works as described. I hadn't seen this one before either. I looked, but didn't see a previous hint on it. Let me know if I'm mistaken.]

Get Account Info in Mail

I've been using this one for ages (thinking it was public knowledge;-)
It's an excellent way to selectively delete unwanted messages from the server in a POP settings where you leave your messages on the server (if IMAP is not an option for any reason).

This tip—despite what marksch thinks of its utility—was reported back in the 10.4 days. Robg's note from then about how this feature is oddly hidden and not accessible in any menus remains true in 10.6. For different reasons, the Account Info window was also mentioned in this post.

Yes, there is no menu for this, but it is available if you right-click (or control-click) on the account. Nothing new, this option is there from 10.4.

It's useful if you need to delete a mail that gives problems when Mail tries to download it (like a mail with a gigantic attachment or a malformed mail that causes Mail crashes); in this case you ask account infos, select the offending message from the list and click the Delete from Server button.

Actually, it is accessible from the gear menu at the bottom of the mailbox list in 10.6. Click the gear, and choose 'Get Account Info'. Still a useful hint, as I think a lot of people aren't aware of the account info window, and it can be very useful (also when a mailbox created elsewhere doesn't show up in Mail because it's not subscribed to).

It's also the window that pops up if you have an Exchange account and need to modify Public Folder subscriptions!

Thanks to wallybear, jolinwarren, and marook for correcting my oversight on the ways Account Info can be accessed.
