I have a Logitech Harmony remote for our home entertainment system. The remote works great, and the software, while ugly, slow, and occasionally painful, does make it very easy to set up new devices and activities.
Last weekend, while trying to set up a new device, I found I couldn't rename the device I had just added -- the field was clickable, but typing was ignored. After some web searching, I found this thread on Logitech's forums. User squareeyes posted that quitting Safari fixed the problem for him. I use Firefox, not Safari, but it turns out the same solution worked: quit my browser, and suddenly, the rename function worked. Strange but true.
