Easily save Flickr app photos as wallpaper images iOS devices
If you want to save a photo from the Flickr iPhone app as your wallpaper image, here's an easy way to do it. Find the photo you'd like to use in Flickr, tap it to view it on a black background, and then use the iPhone's screen shot feature (hold down Home, then tap the top button) to save the photo to your photo library.

Finally, open the Photo app, find your saved image, tap it, and set it as your wallpaper.

[robg adds: You can use this same method to easily convert any photo in any other app to wallpaper, as long as you can display it such that it takes up the entire screen.]]

Better yet, just use m.flickr.com;, the official mobile site for Flickr, which is still a better overall interface than the native iPhone app. I'm hoping the latter will improve over time, but for now, Flickr's mobile site is one of the best (and strangely, still one of the only) iPhone-optimized sites on the web.

Let's try this again, with the "HTML Formatted" option.

(much) BETTER YET:

Flickr has released a new Flicker app update which allows you to Save the image by click-n-hold on it, and added a new option for the "Send" pop-up which allows Saving to Camera Roll.

Along the same lines, when I have an image that I want to crop, I use the "finger tools" to scale and frame the image as I like before holding down the sleep key (first) then pressing the HOME key to "capture" the crop!
