Following the Option-clicking on the Sound icon in the menu bar, I experimented with some of the other options; here are my results:
- AirPort: gives you all sorts of troubleshooting information, ranging from PHY Mode, BSSID, Channel, Transmit Rate and MSC Index to cover the bulk of them.
- Battery: normal clicking gives you the charged, charging, or percentage left and the power source. Option-clicking gives you the battery health (generally found inside of System Profiler)
- Sync: View last sync info for each item that you sync, including those from third parties. Also adds menu items for iSync Diagnostics and Open iSync.
- Bluetooth: Adds Open Bluetooth Diagnostics Utility menu item.
I have yet to find a third-party menu bar icon that runs differently with an option click, but I can only test the ones I run.
[robg adds: I added the last two entries above, so any mistakes there are mine, not cwanja's.]
