Generate bookmarks for use with JellyfiSSH

I work in an environment where I have hundreds of hosts that I connect to via ssh, telnet, and ftp. JellyfiSSH is a wonderful idea in terms of bookmarking my hosts and keeping track of them all. However, entering all of the hosts into JellyfiSSH can be daunting, so I've created a Perl script to do the dirty work for you. You can read the full instructions, and download the script, on this page of my site. Here are the basics:

  1. Download the script.
  2. Create a special ~/hosts.txt file that contains a list of hosts to configure in JellyfiSSH, with one host per row. On each row, list protocol,host_name.
  3. Edit the script (on line three) to reflect your short OS X username.
  4. Run the script.
  5. Copy the two XML files the script creates from your Desktop to your user's Library/Preferences/JellyfiSSH directory.
  6. Launch JellyfiSSH.
[robg adds: I haven't tested this one. I have mirrored the script here in case the original vanishes, but check the above link first for the latest version.]
