Generate bookmarks for use with JellyfiSSH Apps
I work in an environment where I have hundreds of hosts that I connect to via ssh, telnet, and ftp. JellyfiSSH is a wonderful idea in terms of bookmarking my hosts and keeping track of them all. However, entering all of the hosts into JellyfiSSH can be daunting, so I've created a Perl script to do the dirty work for you. You can read the full instructions, and download the script, on this page of my site. Here are the basics:
  1. Download the script.
  2. Create a special ~/hosts.txt file that contains a list of hosts to configure in JellyfiSSH, with one host per row. On each row, list protocol,host_name.
  3. Edit the script (on line three) to reflect your short OS X username.
  4. Run the script.
  5. Copy the two XML files the script creates from your Desktop to your user's Library/Preferences/JellyfiSSH directory.
  6. Launch JellyfiSSH.
[robg adds: I haven't tested this one. I have mirrored the script here in case the original vanishes, but check the above link first for the latest version.]

It'd probably be useful to modify the script to read the host username from the input file as well. Using a default of whatever the specified local username is fine, but it's probably unlikely that every destination server is configured with the same login name.

Place the following before the protocol switch:
$loginname = ($#host_entry_arry > 1 ? $host_entry_array[2] : $username );

And then add your loginname to each entry where it isn't the same as your username.

Generate bookmarks for use with JellyfiSSH

I've written something very similar for use with Spotlight and LaunchBar: The script in http://forums.obdev.at/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3077 will parse your ~/.ssh/config and ~/.ssh/known_hosts file, and generate SSH bookmarks that will launch Terminal.app (or iTerm, if correctly configured). If you use the launchd configuration from the next post in that thread, these bookmarks will be auto-generated as soon as you finish modifying your ssh config or the known_hosts file.

Hope this is useful.
