Another method of printing handouts in Keynote Apps
I find that I often need to print handout pages in Keynote, but don't need to print the notes. However, when I print using the Handout option, the slides are tiny and appear at the left side of the page, and the rest is blank. I found a way to print six (or two or four or nine) slides per page with them taking up the entire page.

In the Keynote section of the Print dialog box, I set it to print Individual Slides, and then I go to the Layout section and set it to print six (or two or four or nine) pages per sheet. You can even add the notes below the slides by selecting Slides with Notes instead of Individual Slides in the Keynote section of the Print dialog box. When it prints, it appears similar to the Handout print option in Microsoft PowerPoint.

A great hint as this gives greater control over handouts than Keynote seems to provide. One thing I noticed is that the Preview does not seem to display the eventual output. I also find it pays to select Save to PDF as that document can be easily saved or sent elsewhere.

I think that the print preview window in the lasta version of Keynote is worse than it was... As far I remember the preview in the former version used to show an image of your actual print page...

Creating Presentation Handouts in Apple Keynote

I'm a recovering PowerPoint user that's been using Apple Keynote for my presentations for about a year. I find it much friendlier to graphics and media. It took me a while to figure out how to create B/W six slide / page handouts that I could easily PDF to clients.
