10.5: Invert colors of images with Preview.app

One of the hidden features of the Adjust Colors panel in Leopard's Preview.app is the ability to invert colors of an image. By default, the Black Level slider is at the left, the White Level slider is at the right-hand side. To invert colors, simply "flip" both sliders over to the other side respectively.

The effect actually takes place as soon as one of the sliders crosses the position of the other one. Like that you can actually fine-tune the inversion and contrast, creating plenty of interesting effects.

Interestingly, all other sliders are unaffected by the actual color inversion and they will alter the image as expected, and not inverted.
