Easily create far-off events in iPhone's Calendar iOS devices
Need to add an appointment in the iPhone's Calendar that's months (or years) in the future? Tap the All-day slider, and you can then select a date months or years ahead very quickly. When you've got the date selected, tap the All-day slider agai, and Calendar will allow you to set the HH:MM for the appointment, retaining the date you've selected in All-day mode.

Easily create far-off events in iPhone's Calendar

It only lets you create events from 1933 to 2067. If you actually want an all day event, list view will not show it if it is more than 2 years into the future or 1 year into the past, so you can't actually see it again on your device without scrolling the slow way in month view.

On the other hand, this will quickly show you the day of the week for any day in that time range. Just choose the day and look right after "Starts", or turn "All-day" off and look down by the slider

What the heck is the all-day slider? The button saying 'Day'? The scroll-bar in day view?

We just had this hint last September.

hamarkus: The slider is on the screen where you set an event's start & end time (which is what this hint is about).
