Google has recently posted a new application, Calaboration, which gives one full access to a Google calendar through iCal. By using the same tool on all your computers, you will be able to access the same calendar from any place.

A new way to synchronize iCal across several computers
There are actually several limitations to this method of synchronizing iCal with Google Calendar and other iCal calendars. Not sure if the limitations are Google's fault or iCal's fault, but there are several drawbacks.

In any case, BusySync seems to be the best way to currently handle syncing between multiple iCal calendars and a Google calendar. BusySync lacks all of the drawbacks that Calaboration has... and BusySync even lets you get your calendar subscriptions onto your iPhone!

Calaboration simply helps a user configure iCal to access her Google using iCal. The synching and read/write functionality has been available for a while and can you can configure iCal yourself for this access using Google's insructions here:

Took advantage of this new app yesterday. I had been looking for an iphone alternative to MobileMe (the only way to wirelessly sync iCal on the iPhone) and now with the help of an alternative Calendar app on my iPhone I have all my calendars synced, wirelessly. For those interested, I'm using the $10 iphone app SaiSuke.

If you are using iPhone 2.0+ NuevaSync could also do what you are looking for. I tried it out, but I ended up with 3 of every entry as I had BusySync and Calgoo running...
