Resize images in Photoshop with a scroll wheel Apps
Here is a trick to resize images in Photoshop using the scroll wheel on your mouse...in the Image » Size Image dialog, just scroll the mouse wheel. As you do, the figures in the size box will increase or decrease, depending on which way you move the wheel.

[robg adds: This works in CS2 and CS3, though I can't image that it's really all that useful, as it's tough to be precise. On my Mac Pro running CS2, this also caused lots of rainbow beach balls as I moved the mouse wheel. A friend with CS3 reported no such issues.]

This also works with the trackpad if you have two finger scrolling enabled.

This works in all fields with numbers in Photoshop when the cursor is in the field (testet on CS3).

Changes size percentage in Photoshop CS(1) also, but requires an ENTER command from the Return or Enter key to take affect.

As stated above, it's pretty much a standard in PS. Try it with Fonts or Layers windows (once the focus is on the appropriate box).

CS3 GUI tricks

I was impressed with some extremely subtle improvements like this to the Adobe CS3 apps. For example, in the Character palette, you can adjust type size, leading, kerning, etc. by left-clicking on the little icon and dragging left and right.

This reminds me a lot Autodesk Maya, you can option-drag (or middle-mouse button drag) left and right in any numeric field to scroll the numeric value up and down. That's really useful, I often wish this was a system-wide capability.
