I posted a new poll about the new style of event editing in 10.5's iCal -- Apple has banished the drawer, and replaced it with a pop-up window. So what do you think of the new interface? Vote and comment as you will!

New poll posted about the 10.5 iCal interface
I enjoy the polls, but I think adding such a strong opinion in the announcement probably skews the results.

Point taken; I moved my comment to the poll comments.
about the same...
There are aspects of the old interface I prefer. But as long as you're willing to use the mouse, double-clicking the items is only a little slower than single clicking in the old interface, and the information that comes up is closer to where you're looking. You don't have to close the old popup before double-clicking on a new item, as long as the new item isn't underneath the popup, and even then it's just one more click outside the popup.
You can move the pop ups
You can also move the pop ups if they are in the way. Just drag them.

Or just hit Command-I for information to show the pop-up, then Esc. to exit.

I don't mind the new interface, but what happened to the mini calendar in the bottom left corner, when I'm in week view, so I can jump to another day in the month? I used that all the time, and now I can't tell if it's just vanished or turned off somehow... |
