10.5: Zoom in on Photo Booth's 'four quick' pictures Apps
After using the "take four quick pictures" option in Photo Booth (the middle icon in the set of three at the lower left corner of the window), clicking on each individual photo in the "four-up" layout zooms the camera in to make that picture fill the Photo Booth window.

Note that each photo is saved individually in the Photo Booth folder.

[robg adds: If you use the iPhoto button on one of these four-up images, only the combined image is imported. As noted above, you can grab any of the originals from your user's Pictures » iPhoto folder if you want them.]

In trying out this hint, I also found that if you trash the 4-up photo in Photo Booth, it deposits the four pictures individually in your trash folder, ready for you to scavenge.

And, rather slickly, if you "Export" the 4-up picture, the resulting file is an animated GIF... for use as your iChat picture, web forum avatar, or for inclusion on a webpage.

Nice.

In Photbooth, when I click Export, or click the ichat icon, Photobooth just quits. The offer to turn it back on comes up. Any ideas? iMac 20", 3Gb, fully updated Snow Leopard.
