In all the news about Leopard (lots of hints coming next week, of course), I almost didn't notice that today marks seven years of hints' existence -- just under five years as a hobby, and the last two as part of my full-time job with Macworld.
I just wanted to take a quick second to thank all of you for making the site so amazingly useful over all these years -- it truly is a community-developed OS X resource, and you've all played a huge role in its success. We've now got 10,712 tips in the system, and over 90,000 comments from our registered users add to the knowledge in those hints. And we've got a lot more tips to come in the future -- there are now over 400 hints in the queue, just since 10.5's release.
For a quick look back at the humble beginnings, here's the site launch post, and the first day's hints. We've come a longggg way since then, thanks to this incredible community.
