When using Quick Look on a PDF (and, as best as I can tell, only PDFs), you can zoom in (Command-equals) and out (Command-minus) -- just like in Photoshop. Nice!

10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
A couple minor things:
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
Is it just me? But this seems to work only in Quick Look's full-screen mode. But hey -- this is great! It makes Quick Look even more useful than it already was.

10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
I was not able to use this hint before I switch to fullscreen mode. But after that, I can use cmd = and cmd - in quicklook no matter in normal or fullscreen mode.
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
I think the key is that it only works if the Quick Look window has focus. Making it full screen, gives it focus. Clicking on it, will give it focus too.
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
When holding the alt key you can zoom in and out in JPG's.
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
hold alt and 2 finger drag up (or mouse wheel) to zoom in. Annoyingly it doesnt work on pdfs, only jpgs.
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
This seems to work for other document types, not just PDFs. I have created a custom QuickLook plugin for my own bitmap format, and I can zoom in the QL preview...
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
Nice! Is there a way to go to the next page in a PDF document (without using the mouse) when in Quick Look mode?
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
"Page down" works fine for me.
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
Has someone noticed how great is the range of the zoom? I was able to zoom out to one pixel and zoom in so that a dot filled up the whole screen.
Changing full screen window size?
I noticed this some time ago, but I still have one qualm about it: I haven't yet found a way to make the window frame move with the zoom. Which makes the feature much less useful.
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs, and also in PDFs embedded in Mail ans Safari
This trick also works with PDFs embedded in Mail.app and Safari! Very nice!
10.5: Zoom in and out on Quick Looked PDFs
Hold down Option and you can zoom in on at least PNGs. This works for me on 10.6.2. |
