Avoid a missing CD issue when reinstalling Adobe CS3 Apps
When trying to uninstall or reinstall some Adobe CS 3 components, the uninstaller will ask for CD 2, with the name Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit2. The problem is that there is no such CD/DVD! That particular part has been installed by the updater, and even if you try to uninstall Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit2 first, you still get the same message.

The solution is to download the Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit first (scroll down to see its section on that page). Then mount the disk image when the installer asks for it, and you'll be set. This solution was found in this post on the Adobe forums.

Avoid a missing CD issue when reinstalling Adobe CS3

Ran into this exact problem yesterday when trying to add a component to a previous CS3 installation. I actually ended up uninstalling/reinstalling the entire suite to get the additional program installed, but this is a much quicker method.

In general, image adobe disks then install from images!

As a corollary to this hint I strongly recommend imaging adobe installer discs in general, then installing from the images - even for the first install of the software it only takes a little longer to create the disk images and then you don't have to worry about inserting the next disk. Simply mount all the images and run the Disc 1 installer. (Although I haven't done this since CS3 came out - I thought CS3 was going to ship on DVD?) It's a lot more convenient to have all your disk images from CS2 on one DVD; and apparently as long as Adobe fails to provide smooth, seamless, IT-support-free (de/re)installation procedures, it'll save you time. Double so if you have a firewire disk or other fast media.

I too had the same problem just yesterday. I wanted to install another CS3 app in addition to the already installed Photoshop, but ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the complete suite because of that error.

The link mentioned is now bad. Is is the same link that adobe mentions in the support area, but it is still wrong. Here is a page that has a download.
