Add WiFi Prepared EyeTV Recordings to iTunes Apps
Elgato's EyeTV 2.5 has an option to stream recordings, from a Mac, by WiFi to an iPhone, iPod touch or any computer running Safari. But if you want to copy a WiFi-prepared recording to your iPod to take it on the road instead of watching it at home over WiFi, you can do so without exporting the recording again.

Just locate the EyeTV recording in the Finder, Control-click and choose "Show Package Contents", and you'll find an iTunes compatible H.264 m4v file. Double-click it and and it will be added to iTunes including all its tags (showname, description etc.).

know if iTunes duplicates it or not

Useful hint.

Just make sure you know what you have your iTunes library "copy to" set to. When you add it, iTunes will either make a duplicate copy in your iTunes folder, or use the file within the Recording package, which is deleted when the Recording is. Either can be good for different reasons, but make sure it's set to what you expect.

This is cool, and a really great idea. But what I really would like to see is an automatic import into iTunes. I want to be able to just plug my iPhone in, and it automatically synchronises all my unwatched TV programmes (that have been somehow automatically added to iTunes).
