Activate all Exposť modes from the aluminum keyboard Other Hardware
On the new aluminum keyboard, there's an Exposť control key -- F3, which shows all windows. If you'd like to use the other Exposť modes, you can do so by using F3 with modifier keys:
  • Control-F3 will show all windows from the current application
  • Option-F3 will open Exposť's preferences
  • Command-F3 will show the desktop.
As noted here previously for older keyboards, other keys with Option will bring up the relevant preferences: Option and F1 and F2 launches the Displays panel, while Option and F10, F11, or F12 brings up the Sound panel.

i don't have the new keyboard, but did anyone notice that when you manually try to assign a different button for expose in the keyboard settings, it reverts to the defaults when you restart? I was wondering if anyone knew a work-around?

Bah! I still like F3 as "copy." Why is a two-key action better? Or am I the only one old enough to remember that mac KBs should map:
F1 Undo
F2 Cut
F3 Copy
F4 Paste

In the few programs that support it, I still routinely use F4 as paste.

Yes, I use Butler to make sure that all apps behave like this.

Bah! Am I the only old enough to remember that Mac keyboards don't need no stinkin' function keys?

The addition of a control key was nice... and the escape key. Nothing north of that, though!

I assigned all Exposť modes to the keys in the top right corner (F16-F19) since I did not want to change the way of working I has with my old Powerbook.

I like them like to have the desktop on F19 because I often need to drag n drop stuff from there to other apps or folders, and it's just near the mouse (since I'm right-handed...)

Also note that on the new iMac, holding the function key in conjuction with the old shortcuts works. I like the new shortcuts better though - no need to let go of the mouse and my left hand doesn't need to travel very far.

fn+F10 Application Windows

Ctrl-'Expose' doesn't show me all windows on my machine. Anyone else having this problem?

Command-'Expose' and Option-'Expose' both work for me though. I'm on a Mac Pro with the new keyboard...

Control-F3 doesn't work for me either. The other keys combinations do.
