10.4: Disable Safari 3 warnings about unsubmitted forms Web Browsers
Since installing Safari 3.0, I've found the confirmation boxes for unsubmitted forms to be quite annoying. Now that Web 2.0 is so popular and so many sites send content via AJAX, having unsubmitted forms is not uncommon, and these confirmations are just a pain. The fix? After digging around with...
strings /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari
...I found the DebugConfirmUnsubmittedFormText preference. To disable the confirmations, quit Safari, open up Terminal, and type this command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugConfirmTossingUnsubmittedFormText 0
To re-enable confirmations, just do the same with a 1 instead of a 0 at the end. Enjoy your much-improved Safari!

Cheers!

Same. The idea of the warning is nice, but the reality is that it's just a big pain.

It's a good hint, but I love the feature, and have been requesting it since 1.0

Two things:

1. I love the new warnings and have never once been bothered by a "false positive".

2. Nice hint for those who want to turn off the feature, but if you're annoyed by it I think you should submit a bug report to Apple so they actually modify the behaviour to make it the way you want it. Safari should only consider text actually entered in a form by a human as grounds for displaying the warning; if it does otherwise then you've found a bug (but like I said, I've never seen this myself).

It's the same with me: I use a lot of web (2.0) apps and these warnings are so usefull in this context.

I guess I wasn't logged in when I submitted this..

Maybe I'm just the only college student/Facebook user using Safari 3.0. As ashamed as I am to say it, I use Facebook a lot, and having those confirmations after every wall post gets annoying.

Same is true for apple.com: search for iMac, then open some pages in new tabs. Now close the first page! It's a great idea, but it should be a preference rather than a default. (Like the new sorting in iTunes!)

Thanks a lot, this was driving me crazy!

What's up with the dialogs popping up left and right in Safari? Apple seems to go the Windows Vista way here - in your face, all the time. Instead, I'd really prefer if they leave me alone. Don't get in my way.
