While this hint explains one way to open iPhone web pages in new links, here's a lower-tech (but easier to implement) solution:
- Surf to the page that has the link you want to open in a new window.
- Hit the "tabs" (i.e. 'add another page') button in the lower right corner of the browser bar.
- Pick New Page.
- Hit the Bookmarks button in the browser bar.
- Go to the top of the bookmarks list, and pick History.
- The top bookmark link is the page you just had open a moment ago. Pick that one, and it's just like you were on the original page. Continue surfing as desired.
Inelegant, I know; possibly ineffective on dynamically-created server pages, but it works for most sites I've tried it on.
