A non-standard way to reload a page in Safari 3 Web Browsers
Here's a weird one. In Safari Version 3.0.2 (522.12), if I click the blue focus ring around the address field, Safari reloads the page. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

[robg adds: I confirmed this, and also verified that the same doesn't happen in Safari 2. My guess is that it's a bug, but for now, consider it one more way to reload a page (though much tougher than pressing Command-R).]

Doesn't work in version 3.0 (522.11) either…

It seems to only work reliably with a double-click, otherwise it sometimes doesn't work for me (clicking on the same pixel). It almost makes sense... someone might have thought it would be a good idea to turn the address bar into a reload button (it already doubles as a progress bar), further shrinking the number of items in the toolbar. Of course, clicking inside a text field already has a function, so it doesn't really work unless there's a portion of the widget that doesn't already respond to clicks, which could only be the focus ring. It could be an experimental function that they forgot to take out after it didn't work as expected.

Either that, or somebody's finger slipped in interface builder. With Cocoa, that's probably all it would take.

Morbo say puny human cannot hold still while clicking. Click does nothing, double-click doesn nothing. Click - drag - RELEASE make reload in 522.12.

Clicking the blue ring around a textbox is supposed to select the entire contents of the textbox. I hope changing it to refresh the page is a bug, because otherwise it's an awful idea.

Same here. Click/double click does nothing, but click-drag does the reload.

It's probably the equivalent of submitting the same URL again and probably due to a minimal mouse movement.
