Scrub a QuickTime movie's audio in a unique way Apps
I found this little trick by accident. In truth, I was trying to do too many things at once and my brain could not process between what my right hand and left hand were doing. So they ended up doing two different things, which ended up creating this hint.

Open your movie file, and hold down the Space Bar -- the movie will start playing. With the space bar still held down, click the movie slider and slowly (or quickly; it's up to you) move it around to find where you want your audio to start. You will hear the steppiness of the audio exactly where you need it to be.

This is handy for me as an animator, so I don't have to use an editing app to line up lip sync with my 3D characters.

[robg adds: I don't think my video sources demonstrate this tip very well. They all have a constant stream of audio (i.e. movie clips), and all I hear is "chirpy" audio when I try this one.]

no, this hint isn't quite right. To get this functionality, start by grabbing the slider, THEN press the spacebar once to start the movie playing. As long as you continue to hold the slider down, you will scrub with audio but it's only because Quicktime is trying to play your movie at the same time. It's not quite full scrubbing, but it's close. Ignore the part in the hint that says, "hold the spacebar down" That's just retarded because it'll just quickly pause and unpause your video and slow down your machine.

"That's just retarded" is a pretty mean and critical way to say it, but ... thanks for the clarification.
