The light table feature in Apple's Aperture application allows you to take images and arrange them freely on a virtual light table. However, if you drag an image onto the light table more than once, you still get just one image on the light table. This is limiting if you want to mock up something that requires repetition.
The workaround is to select an image either on the light table or in the thumbnails and press Option-V. That creates a new version in a stack. Then hit Shift-Command-K to unstack the two images. On the light table, move the original image, and you will find another identical image underneath.
