A fix for Outlook 2001 and daylight savings time Classic
So, I'm an IT admin, and this may have very limited use, but reading this site everyday has made my job easier many times. In the hopes that I can do the same for someone else...

Outlook 2001 running under Classic with Exchange Server (devilish setup, I know, but common on Microsoft networks) does not respect the Daylight Savings change, even though OS 9 does. The Daylight Savings Editor will allow you to edit the time zones on OS 9 so that Outlook 2001 has the proper time.

Extra hint:
Do it to one computer and use Apple Remote Desktop to copy the "System" file in The System Folder for OS 9 to your other computers. Then restart them, and presto-change-o

A fix for Outlook 2001 and daylight savings time

Thanks therobloe,

That fix helped with e-mail time stamps being off by one hour.

But appointments created before March 11 are still off by an hour - just in that 3 weeks that follow.

I would be grateful for any other hints.

I'm using Outlook 2001 on OS 10.3.x and 10.4.x on Exchange 2000.

Many thanks,

latinait
