I found a useful workaround for a problem I have had with the Adobe Acrobat Text Box tool. Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional doesn't allow you to choose the font used in the yellow text boxes that one typically uses to add notes or comments to a PDF. Even worse, it only allows you to select a font size of small, medium, or large. For me, even the small font is way too large to be useful.
The workaround:
The workaround:
- Open Microsoft Word and create a new document with the font and size of your choice. I use Microsoft Word instead of TextEdit because TextEdit appears to lack the ability to display the document at a zoom of larger than 100%, which is important because I use a 6 point font. (The text appears much larger in Acrobat).
- Type your comment in the Microsoft Word document, then select it and copy it to the clipboard.
- Switch to Adobe Acrobat, create a text box using the Text Box tool, and then paste your comment from the clipboard. It will appear with the font and size you selected in Microsoft Word.
