Late yesterday, I was struck by a particularly nasty and fast-moving stomach flu of some sort (both our kids have been fighting something, so I assume I caught it from one of them). After being up all night fighting the virus, I'm going to spend much of today asleep, trying to recover (twelve hours after this thing hit me, it seems to now be mostly gone...but it wasn't a pleasant 12 hours!).

Occasional 'unplanned downtime' is sometimes better than one might think. Get your rest. Because, "if you haven't got your rest, you...haven't got anything." -- Count Rugen

Those pesky kids will do it to you everytime! That a bug won't affect my computer now, will it? Feel better!

I know exactly how you feel. Both my son, wife, and myself had a stomach virus. Didnt last more than 48 hours, but it is no fun at all to say the least.

Definitely rest up - here's wishing you well ! These days it's always tempting to jump right back into work, but it takes longer than you realize for your immune system to recover from a/the flu. Don't let any other opportunistic bugs get a chance to knock you down again.

ahh, the good ol' norovirus - it seems to be very random...hit me twice in 10 years. There's nothing quite like throwing up for 3 days straight. Seems to love families too....

This bug is short-lived, fortunately. Rest is the best cure. Have seen several cases lately in my practice and it is especially quick to spread but, for the most part, passes in about 24 hours (some almost seem to last exactly 24 hours, really strange). Take care...... |
