Hide minimized windows in the dock System
This little hint strikes me as being horribly simple and intuitive, however, it seems to be undocumented and an otherwise unknown behavior that I've stumbled upon. Very simply, when you hide an application, any minimized windows belonging to that application will disappear from the dock completely. They won't reappear until that application is reactivated. I haven't heard of or noticed this before.

[robg adds: I thought we had this documented here somewhere, but I just can't find it. The closest I came was this hint, which discusses a way to access those hidden minimized windows in the dock via the keyboard. So in the interest of thoroughness, here's the hint that should have predated that one -- and if someone discovers this is already in the system, please let me know.]

I remember back in the 10.1 or 10.2 days (or maybe it was removed in 10.2... can't remember when it was removed) minimized windows would fly across the dock behind their app when the app was hidden. Then they would fly back to the right-hand side of the dock when the app was unhidden. It's hard to explain, but it was kinda neat.

I don't know whether it was in the hints, but it was in the forums:
