10.4: Resolve an Exposé / Office contextual menu issue

If you have tried to use Shift-F10 to access contextual menus in Microsoft Word (or other Office applications), you have probably discovered that it only activates Exposé in slow motion (even if Exposé is not active). There have been a few posts over time asking (myself included) if it is possible to disable this slow motion feature, so that Shift-F10 will again work in Word.

After attempting several ways to accomplish this, and reading the Exposé and multi-button mice hint, I realized that that hint was the answer to the problem: you have to reassign Exposé's F10 (Application Windows) hot key. After I mapped mine to Control-F10, I could again use the Shift-F10 contextual menu hot key in my Office applications. If I really want the slow-motion effect, it's still there, but now via Shift-Control-F10.
