Another way to view spelling options in Cocoa apps

I just accidently discovered that if you need to know how to spell a particular word while typing in a TextEdit document, you don't have to highlight and control or right click on the word you're trying to get the correct spelling for. You can simply leave the blinking cursor inside the word and press the Command-period keys. A list of spelling options will appear.

[robg adds: This trick works in most Cocoa applications, and it's just an alternative to the more-common shortcuts (Option-Escape in 10.3 and Escape in 10.4). If someone can test Command-period on 10.3, please post your results.]
